Poem1: ‘Convenience is luxury’ by Amy, Enfield County School for Girls

POEM 1: Suggested title for Leon’s poem: ‘Convenience is luxury’ final stanza by Amy, Enfield County School for Girls, Yr9

‘Not everything is as simple,

And as easy as I think it may be.

But this is the road that leads me to my fate

So, I will follow it wherever it may go.

Something pecks at my mind, something perfect and sharp,

It was my future, all heaven and dove.

No conscience nor angel may relieve me from the grief,

For it fuels my smile and brings strength to my heart.

Not everything is scheduled nor unpredictable,

But when the shadows fade and the sunrays sweeten,

We shall always know, that as bleak as the past may be,

The music of the future sings in sweet harmony.’
