‘British Responses to the Holocaust’ Launch Event
- Special event
Wednesday 27 June 2018
Institute of Education, London
British responses to the Holocaust is a new educational resource aimed at secondary school teaching developed in conjunction with a range of leading British archives. It aims to encourage students to interrogate dominant cultural narratives of British responses to the unfolding genocide in the Second World War through the use of engaging source material from the historical record. In doing so, it aims to promote discussion of what we mean by ‘British values,’ of who decides what they should be and why, and the extent to which British values are confirmed or refuted by the historical record.
Come and join us this evening and get some hands-on experience of this new resource, in a relaxed environment with drinks and light refreshments. A free pack of resources for this lesson is available to all attendees.
