Kitty Hart-Moxon, OBE, is a Polish-English survivor of Auschwitz and six camps. For more than fifty years Kitty has dedicated herself to raising awareness of the Holocaust through writing (I Am Alive, 1961), public speaking in educational and other contexts and film (for example, Return to Auschwitz, 1978 and Death March: A Survivor’s Story, 2003). Another Journey 1993 One Day in Auschwitz 2014, the last with the Shoah Foundation from Los Angeles.

Due to illness, Kitty Hart-Moxon is sadly unable to be with us in person for this event as we had hoped, however, Peter and Moira Hart, Kitty’s son and daughter in law, will join us to tell Kitty’s story, using oral presentation and film.

Peter and Moira Hart will be joined by Dr Noemie Lopian and Alain Bornstein, children of the Holocaust survivor Dr Ernst Bornstein whose book The Long Night: A true story is the focus of a conference workshop on the 20th July. Peter, Moira, Noemie and Alain will take part in a question and answer discussion focused on the changing presence of the Holocaust over time, on the perspectives of the families of survivors and on the future of Holocaust memory.

It is our very great pleasure and privilege to host Peter, Moira, Noemie and Alain at this event. We hope that you will be able to join us to hear Kitty’s story and to reflect on the past, present and future of Holocaust memory.

Refreshments will be provided at the event.
