Starts from 22/11/2016 to 22/11/2016

We are delighted to host a talk by Yiftach Meiri from Yad Vashem on the theme of “European Responses to the Holocaust.”

Yiftach will be talking about the way the anti-Jewish policy and the Holocaust were carried out in different fashions in different parts of Europe, which is also connected to the topic of collaboration and the attitude of different populations to the anti-Jewish policy and the “Final Solution.”

The UCL Centre for Holocaust Education research indicates that students lack knowledge and understanding of the importance of the geographical and spatial contexts of the Holocaust, and connected with this, the role played by other European countries in the unfolding genocide.

Those involved in Holocaust education and members of the wider public interested in finding out more about this aspect of the Holocaust are most welcome for this free event.

The evening will begin at 5.30 pm for drinks and nibbles, and the talk will last from 6pm – 7.

Location: UCL Institute of Education (Room tbc)
